Tim Banks, Customer Support Manager

Tim has a BSc in Computer Science. He joined Broner in 1984 and helped with the development of the products before joining the services organisation in 1995. While in the services organisation, Tim held many roles including project manager for customers such as Columbus, Norandal, Corus (British Steel) and Algoma. He is now responsible for the Customer Services Centre.

 

Julie Gillanders, Operations Director

Julie gained an Honours Degree in International Business Studies from Sheffield in 1996, and then worked for 2 years as the Production Control Manager for William Cook Hi-Tec Foundry, part of the largest steel foundry group in Europe. She joined Broner in October 1998, working on the implementation of the core planning modules and managing the development of the new Demand Manager module. She progressed to become the Project Manager for the Acominas project in Brazil, and subsequently managed projects for Usiminas & Cosipa, before becoming Services Manager and subsequently Operations Director . She speaks fluent Portuguese and good French. Julie has a Master's Certificate in Project Management with George Washington University.

 

Tim Hurn, Business Development Director

Tim qualified as a computer scientist in 1982 and worked until 1986 as a programmer/analyst in MRPII/HR systems. Tim then joined the Broner development team to help with the foundation of the PPS products and was Project Manager for the first implementation at ALCOA in the early 1990s. Since then, Tim has supported the sales teams closing over US $15 million in business with major steel and aluminium companies around the world.

 

 

Tim Gedrych, MES Director

Tim has 30 years experience of consultancy and implementation of production supervisory systems, process control and MES & supply chain automation. He has successfully supervised the work of large teams, ensuring that all contracts are completed to the client's satisfaction, on time and within budget. Tim has also worked in roles as Program Manager EMEA, Operations Manager, and spent 4 years as European Support Manager for Aspentech Manufacturing Supply Chain Products.

 

Tim McAlpine, Development Manager

Tim has a BSc in Chemical Engineering, a PhD in Fuel and Powder Technology, and an MSc in Software Engineering. Prior to joining Broner in 1999, Tim was employed by British Steel’s Research and Development division for 13 years, working on environmental science, reheating, secondary steelmaking, modelling and control, and process automation. Tim is now responsible for the software R&D team.

 

Chelliah Selvathasan, Finance & Administration Manager

Chelliah has 14 years experience in Finance in large organisations having worked as Management Accountant and Financial Controller. He is responsible for Finance, Accounting, Human Resources and Facilities. Chelliah is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

 

Jacques Talbot, Sales Director

Jacques is a seasoned software Sales executive, experienced in the Supply Chain and in selling to the steel industries. He founded his own Belgian based business, in which IBM invested, providing advanced MES solutions to a number of industries including steel. This business was bought in 1998 by AspenTech and since then he has had a number of senior sales management roles, most recently responsible for Reseller Partnerships with companies like Siemens and IBM.

 

Scott Wilson, General Manager, North America

Scott has an extensive understanding of the needs of metals companies for supply chain management solutions.  After ten years at LTV Steel, which included periods as Production Planner, Department Manager, and Supply Chain Project Manager, and a further 5 years of supply chain management consultancy for a variety of industries, including 2 years for US Steel, Scott has a huge depth of experience to bring to the North American market.

 

Artemis Theodoropoulou, MES Development Manager

Artemis has a chemical engineering background and a Ph.D. degree in Control Systems. She has 10 years experience in information management for the process manufacturing industry, relating to Supply Chain Management projects and Software development of real-time data acquisition systems.

She has been the Business Unit Manager of the MES division of Hyperion Systems Engineering. During the last 8 years, Artemis has coordinated, designed and implemented many MES solutions in steel and chemicals industries. Currently she is a Manager of MES Development for Broner Metals Solutions, and is providing consultancy and implementation services in different process stages such as melt shop, flat products, and pipes for metals companies such as Arcelor Mittal, OMK (Russia ), TMK (Russia)  DSS (Ukraine ), CSI (USA). As the Manager of MES Development she is coordinating productisation of the Broner metals-specific MES solutions.
