Scheduling Tools
The Broner Caster Scheduler, Liquid Metal Scheduler, Hot Mill Scheduler and Melt Shop Control Centre provide a solution to this particular area of metals production. These products work together to balance the competing demands of productivity, quality, costs, delivery performance, metal stock levels, and hot charging against the technical constraints of the process.
The detailed sequencing of orders through all rolling and finishing equipment is handled by the
Production Scheduler. This product will schedule orders as closely as possible to the planned start dates generated by the Production Planner. It respects the need to control production costs and the operational constraints of machines in the plant.
The Despatch Scheduler optimises the loading and movements of transportation resources such as trucks and trains to reduce dead freight and demurrage and also reduce the administration lead time for preparing and updating despatch schedules.
Schedule Editing Tools
The Schedule Editor is an interactive tool which allows edits to be performed on the schedule for any machine.
The On-line Slab Allocator finds alternative orders for slabs when the output of the caster is off specification.
The Allocation Editor is a final editing tool which is used after a plan has been created using the Broner Material Planner.
