Broner Hot Mill Scheduler
The Broner Hot Mill Scheduler is a dedicated automatic scheduling tool for hot-strip mills, plate mills and long-product mills.
The scheduling process uses current inventories and the latest caster schedules to generate multiple rounds, based on user-defined sequencing rules and parameters. Hot-charge scheduling is provided by bi-directional integration with the Broner Caster Scheduler module.
Dedicated user-friendly GUIs with drag-and-drop editing facilities and graphic violation checking rules allow users to manually validate schedules before release to the Manufacturing Execution System for production.
Benefits
- Lower cost and increased productivity through ore optimal scheduling and an increased hot-charge ratio
- Reduced manual effort.
Features
- Support for hot-mill rules and constaints such as:
- width and gauge control (wide-to-narrow, narrow-to-wide, 'maximum jump', aim etc)
- material grouping, mixing, sequencing, and zoning rules
- round sequencing, dependencies and constraints
- back-up /work roll changes
- quality exclusions or traditional constraints
- customer order batching
- opportunistic hot connect
- other user-defined criteria.
